Does anyone else find it as peculiar as I that the message his mum left on his cell phone in Australia a week ago magically appeared on his sat-phone last night?!?!
This is an impossibility because a) no providers have such a combo service, b) if a "call forward" number had forwarded it to the sat phone in the first place, it never would have shown up on the cell phone, c) no "time traveling" or even radio transmission "time shifting" wouldn't even make sense.
Perhaps just consistency issues? I noticed the vid of Tracey's message after they had left port was on a cell phone -- when it prob should have been on sat phone...
What is the purpose of these messages? is there some underlying meaning? Mum doesn't tell us anything except that she's worried about him. Maybe TPTB are just getting us used to checking the phone for messages because someone important will end up leaving Sam a message that actually means something.
I don't think she is a bad actress,I think we are supposed to find somenthing.. she sounds so innatural.. the previous message we saw that the sound line with the voice didn't match.. no one has an idea???
The soundline doesn't mean anything... depending on how you display it, every word can look on the wave as "big" or as "small" as you want to display it...

Does anyone else hate the voice acting of Sam's mum?
Yeah... it sounds like those voices on "learn english" tapes... :D
Yeah, really annoying voice! So it seems that Sam's mother is english, not australian as Sam
I also hate the voice it sounds like shes reading the script for the first time.....

Has anyone tried to proof, it the waveline displayed on the phone are the same of the track that is played?
If not, maybe the wavelines give us a totally different message, just like the underlying pictures.
Don't know how to do this by my own, so I hope someone else is able to do.
