Sort of random and obviously a stretch or coincidence, but there's a very wealthy part of Connecticut (aka US East Coast?) called Black Rock, located right near the water of the Long Island Sound. Just remembered that, kind of weird. A stretch/coincidence, I'm sure.
There is a website for Allied Copenhagen... it has a password though.http://www.alliedcopenhagenmarinemerchants.com/ not sure if it is part of the game or a real website...
I was playing with anagrams and I was thinking along the lines of Oscar Talbot being a member of the Hanso family... anyway, Oscar Hanso is a anagram for "a crash soon" or "soon a crash" funny, hunh?

The fact his family is from Somerset could be a link to the slave trade...
Bristol, the biggest city in Somerset (well, bordering Somerset i believe) used to be a huge slave trading port.
