I wouldn't think much of it, but it's interesting how much they covered up with the high contrast. I attached the modified screencap."

Well......they are on a boat, besides that I can see it without photoshop
Is that a "red herring"?
What is more interesting to me than the fish is the hot-air balloon behind the lamp.
Also note that the desk is pushed up to a door. Why is that?

I don't think it's a map; I think there's another watermark like someone suspected was in the bedroom. Look particularly at the trackpad area on the laptop: there are some lines there, and in the photo of Sam's desktop in this post, the line seems to continue across the laptop's monitor.
the "watermark" is another overlay-ed picture like the one in his desk at home...
the pictures that you see are maps from Sam's wall...
