Hey all, the clue on ABC has now been changed to 423 Chyne Walk, which is a real place in London UK, and look at where's next to it....
P.s didnt Desmond an Penny walk by this street when they had the picture taken? it was in London alontg the river wasnt it?
It probably means nothing, but thought id post it....

That's the same road that Charlie shot his nappies commercial, opposite Battersea Power Station, in "Fire + Water"
I noticed it too.
But there is no real number "423" Cheyne Walk.
So we have a fake London adress and a fake London phonenumber.
I wonder what or who is there? Penny? Or somthing other related to the Widmores?
elpaw, how do you know that?
and there may be a number 423 on the road to the right on the map, there is another Cheyne walk1?
Worlds end!!! What a hoot!
Namaste
elpaw is right, they're indeed not far away from each other;
check it:
google maps
ok, I'm stupid.. but wasn't that "Cheyenne" Road?
lol you aint stupid, it seems they've changed it in the mean while.
there are also a number of cheyne walks in australia.
Penny's adress?
You have got to be kidding me, they changed the phrase? Sheesh.
If you read Bill Bryson Notes on a small island, you will learn to always have a Post code with an address in London: in this case for example, there are not 1, not 2 , but 3 instances of the same address in London:
Cheyne Walk, SW3
Cheyne Walk, Kensington, London SW3, UK
Cheyne Walk, N21
Cheyne Walk, Enfield, London N21, UK
Cheyne Walk, NW4
Cheyne Walk, Barnet, London NW4, UK

This is the place Des and Pen took the pic. They took it along the River Thames which is the river near Cheyne Walk. If this is also where Charlie filmed the commercial that would fit in VERY well. In a podcast, the producers said to look in the background of that seen and you would see a sighn for Widmore Construction! I will research it and see if this is in fact the same place.
logube, only the Kensington one will have the 0207 area code. The others will be 0208.
Did anyone notice the Dharma shaped building at 51.481744,-0.180389 on google maps, its very close to Cheyne Walk
According to Wikipedia:
J.M.W. Turner died at number 119 in 1851.
(He painted the slave ship seen in this ARG.)
Henry James spent his last years at number 21.
(He wrote "The Turn of the Screw.")
I think the 423 address is just taken from "the numbers."
Cheyne Walk in Kensington would make a lot of sense for Penny to live there. It's a very posh area. Mick Jagger had a house there in the 60s as did several other celebs.
i was on maps.google.com and put in 423 cheyne walk and got this address in Virginia Beach (USA, North America)
Cheyne Walk
Virginia Beach, VA 23454
the dharma logo shaped building is a block of flats. a friend of mine lives there. that area is quite nice on the thames, there's a lotta house boats and tall town houses. not seen that it goes up to 423 though even though i drive round there at least once a week.....
There is a story "No. 472 Cheyne Walk", dont have time to read the page, here's the link: http://www.tabula-rasa.info/AusHorror/Carnacki.html
this is not where Desmond and Penny took the picture. If you watch that episode again, you can see Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster in the background, just across the river. If you locate this on the map given here, its nearby but still quite a bit down the river, not near enough to be that close in the background.
Still a cool idea, but I'm just saying.
I have to say I find this hilarious! Funnily enough I live on Cheyne walk.. it's a lovely part of town but that 'Dharma' shaped sign that leenybabes mentioned that appears on google earths is a slightly less than desirable council estate called 'The World's End Estate'. It's pretty notorious in London for unsightly high rises and crime etc.. I personally wouldn't read too much into it if I were you.
Having said that.. it's very likely that Penny is from Chelsea and there have been a few clues that she does live there so it's not unlikely she lives on Cheyne Walk.
There's no 423 Cheyne Walk though I'm afraid.. I think that's a coordinate perhaps Penny was using or something..
