Chapter 5 Activity Videos

Here's the various that you will see during tonight's Activity.

First, the video before the activity:

Then, the failure video, which I'm sure everyone saw (not much of a shipwreck if you ask me ;) ):

And finally, the success video:

I don't know about anyone else, but this game will be a welcome diversion for me in this week leading up to the premier.

So what did they find?

Whatever it is, it's apparently underwater.

beatlegryphie, the correct path is:

*Straight North..

*Turn on your Left, then go to West..

*Pass throught the reefs, and go to a passage (on your right) that there's a "rock" in the middle.. like two ways besides it.

*Turn your Left and then just go South, and carefully pass througth the small paths, especialy the last one..
Hope its helpfull

*Here's an Original Theory that i've been developing (sory, Google translation from portuguese):

i think that they will find the fake oceanic 815 plane, and that the maxwell group sent sam the coordinates so that he would find the fake plane and thus stop trying to find sonya (and the rest of the losties). when sam tells the rest of the world, then no one will look for the losties anymore. i think the maxwell group is aware that the island exists but don't want anyone else to find it... that's my theory.

man this one was a toughie...

but i'd be willing to bet if someone were to take the time to screen capture all of the areas of the reef... it'd be a picture of something.

... it sure looks like it could end up being a face or something to me.

then again, could be nothing... just a thought :)

probably the looking glass?? the submarine?? a big, one leg, four toe statue under the sea....???

It might be foolish but, if I'm not mistaken one of the season 4 clues in the previous chapters were something like a note written "if found call penny' (or the like) with a phone number.
At that time nothing answered and called that number put now, Christiane I ( or/and Sam) has definetly found somehting (whatever it may be). Maybe someone could have a try calling that number again. (can't do that from here)
See ya

def hardest game so far. Took me 6 tries. Video was a little disappointing. After all that hard work, I thought I would have found out something a little more juicy.

"I think we found Black Rock"

I don't think so, buddy.

Danny, I believe it was revealed in The Lost Experience that Magnus Hanso was the captain of the Black Rock. They've never said it on the show, though.

Unknown said...

I believe the detail about Hanso as captain of the Black Rock is also revealed in one of Sam's e-mails.

BTW -- The Capt of the Black Rock is Jacob. That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it.

nicolemm05 you totally called it !! The reef was indeed a face....Sonya's face! Nice going!! And Namaste!

basshops said...

the number in the book is not a phone number . . . .sorry

Unknown said...

And the name Magnus Hanso was also on the Blast Door map. His final resting place was around the Black Rock.

yup, probably it's not the Black Rock, but rather the wreckage of flight 815

Im glad we gonna learn more about the journal (1st hangman spoiler)

This is TV quality stuff, I really like watching these little videos. So, does it end here? Are there going to be more videos that show us what they find?

I wonder if they are going to resolve the Sonya thing, or if they're going to leave it just there. When will the next one be up?

I have such a warm and happy feeling in me right now. I know that real new episodes of Lost are finally going to begin. In just a few days! Finally it's going to be how it was before, where every week we'd have mind-blowing stuff to speculate about, and some real answers.

I have one more question. Remember when we first meet Talbot and he suggests that Sam is running away from something? What was he talking about? I don't know what Sam would be running away from, maybe Oceanic. Talbot behaved as if he had inside information about Sam, or possibly knew him, and that he knew Sam's secret.

Actually Sam was trying to find Sonya, but I wonder why Talbot presumed Sam was running away from something.

The journal, in my own honest speculation, is the one we see Ben reading in s3. Talbot's "people" have Magnus Hanso's journal from he was on the Black Rock (recording positions each day), so how would they have gotten it if they'd never been to the Black Rock before? It had to be someone on island to have gotten their hands on the journal. Although why they send Talbot on such a roundabout journey and give Sam the coordinates, I don't have an answer for. I hope finding the Black Rock means finding the island.

I, personally, believe that what triggered Talbot's journey was when Locke blew up the communication hatch. I also believe that ithilen is right, the journal came from someone whose been on the island before...DHARMA. Notice that Talbot asks Sam (in reference to the Maxwell e-mails), "What did my employers tell you?" Was this his admission that he does work for Maxwell...or was he just being sarcastic?

Dave said...

Very good observation about the journal -- leads me to continue to think Charles Widmore has a long-standing history with the Island, else how did Maxwell Group get that journal? Seems like Widmore's trying to get back to it.

One question: Have we seen any other crew on this ship? Surely Ockham, Talbot and Sam aren't running it all by their lonesome...

Anonymous said...

I don't think Ben would be writing in Hanso's journal.

censor said...

How did Talbot's Employers (who I personally don't think are TMG) get Hanso's journal, if the ship has never been found?

Deneph said...

If they are about to discover the wreckage, my only question would be...How would Talbot have the coordinates of the wreckage? Wouldn't that throw some suspicion on him?
