The Maxwell Group Website

I have noticed that each night in chat this topic comes up. And nightly this topic has to be explained, so I thought I would post it.

The Maxwell Group website will be available for use in the United States on Thursday January 31, 2008 at 7:08 pm eastern time.

This information has been available since the beginning of the ARG.

After attempting to login at http://www.the-maxwell-group.com you see the following screen:

You can use the the following website to convert UTC to US time zones in case there is anyone who needs documentation:

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/zones.html

Now we just need a correct username and password by then.

Thanks for the info.
Can anyone confirm if this site is real or fake?
http://oceanicworldairlines.com
Lostpedia says that it used to have a message from Hanso during TLE. The site is different now.
Thanks

Seems fake to me. And that Dharma logo at the beginning just wouldn't be there if it was an official website.

Oceanic's official websites are http://www.oceanic-air.com/ and http://www.flyoceanicair.com/

how does "02/01/2008 08:15 UTC" convert into "01/31/2008 07:08 eastern time"???

It's 02/01/2008 00:08:15 UTC, not 08:15.

I am in chicago (central time zone)and that isn't even close on the time conversion. here is would either be 2:15 very early fri morning or 2:15 in the afternoon That would make it 3:15 morning or after noon for the east coast on feb 2 08

These times ARE correct and have been in plain view to everyone since the beginning of the game! UTC is GMT which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern time and 8 hours ahead of Pacific time. Maxwell site should be up and running at 7.15 EST Thursday.

Which, for those that don't know, is 15 minutes after the game officially "ends"...though the nature of that ending is very unclear. :)

You get redirected to this page:

I send an e-mail to the address at the bottom of the initial page. Let's see what happens...

You guys are missing out on lots and lots of links. Click on the Xs in the chart on the oceanicworldairlines.com page.
MANY surprises.

Ok, the maxwell site has now changed, but all it really has is a small blurb about finding flight 815 in the sundra trench and you can listen to the news broadcast. I think the page you get when you try to login was just to tell us when the site would change, I dont think there is anything to log into.

I feel like Allislost may be the password or username.

This comes from 411151057, which in leet speak spells out the above(411 15 1057, All Is Lost) that number, of course, was one of thomas's emails from the unknown sender.

The other one i just cant figure out. I'm thinking that it has to do something with the new radio conversation, but everytime i look at the transcript, its just a boring transcript. They were released around the same time, so that makes me think they are related.
