@paula: You really think someone would take a map from work? An IT-technician taking a map from an airline? Maps are not expensive, and the map he has in his appartment doesn't seem anything special. And besides, I think the line in the mail with returning all property is just a standard line - it could be anything one gets from his company while one works there. I don't think it's anything special.
the iata code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_codes) for HR (austral air HR) is for a german company: HR - Hahn Air. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hahn_Air)
i agree with "ake!ake!", umm sorry ;) uh i mean, with jake chambers on the line about returning work property... usual stuff (id badge, time-card, etc)... never really know for sure though, but that's the way i'm leaning
Hey Dark, & everyone, I guess I'm the only one who caught this: In the notebook it says 1 unread message. if you use the arrows to scroll down in the sent folder, Sam replies to Oceanic air. He states: "I refer to your previous e-mail. I have returned all company property to Oceanic Air.If there is any other reason why my final payment should not be released immediately, please let me know. Yours Truly, Sam Thomas."
Sounds like Oceanic is d***ing Sam around. Poor Sam.

yup, Sam was fired......
Why would he want to get a job somewhere else if he was about to set off on this mission to find Flight 815?
I bet it's part of his plan.
Is this Sean Dowling on Facebook .....

There is a real Austral Air but its a French airline

Can we maybe enter his book reference # in somehow?
so apparently Sam "borrowed" some "company property"... wonder what that was.....
Seeing how he was IT I'm guessing it involves the computer he is recieving the e-mails on.
exactly because he was and IT guy i expect him to have his own laptop!!!
i was think more of the sattelite phone... or the maps, or that and MORE!!!
Hmm.... I don't think Sam is gonna' get that new job. :(
You do have a valid point

also - he still has Sonya's attendant s uniform as we saw in the video. Does that count as Oceanic property?
@ giulio
HR I'm guessing stands for Human Resources. I'm guessing he would email their HR department if he was looking for a job.
@ cal - yeah! ha-ha! that would be company property :)
oh monk satyr you called me the way Oy calls me (or calls Jake :D:D:) Niiiiiceee :)
