n1te, 24=x not z (26) so it makes - 'xfhide', other than the inelegant 'fx hide' I get nothing . But if I add a 1 for the word 'first' on the OF page (a stretch, i know) I get - 'fxhiade', which will give me 'head fix' 'ha fixed' 'fax hide' & 'if had ex', among others. probably nothing, but...
I am questioning the numbers on the site. To me, if you take southernly has a negative, and gale as a positive, you get 24-6+8+9-4-5. Though, the wording makes me wonder if you aren't supposed to rearrange them as well. Dunno if I'm on the right track, but if you ask me that's sure some iffy wording for a weather forcast.

The 2004 Bixing Day Tsunami is a good point... remember how the Sunda Stories webpage originally listed the Tsunami as the last entry, but it was later removed ???
That could've been a timeline problem, which has me thinking the Christiane I is about to get itself smacked down big time...
Does the wording of this latest web page seem very strange to anyone else? Are they completely iliterate or is this wording intentional? Also, can anyone make sense of the lines and numbers faintly written on the page in the lower right hand corner??
"Actually it looks like 5 lines and 5 little bubble dots. Sorry I can't screen capture, I'll work on that."
Those aren't part of the actual website image - they seem to be an overlay placed on top of the entire (actual) website (or on top of the laptop image), since they're also visible on every other in-game website that has a white background (white allowing the lines to be distinguishable) as well as the emails - and when both laptop windows are "minimized".
The actual images used, in full size, are here (they've most likely been posted before, but at least I haven't noticed it):

was that message from tracey weird or what? I think she has the hots for Sam.
I think the numbers might be an alphanumeric code but i don't know where to find a cracker.
when converting it straight from numbers to letters i got DAKEJEG. (A=1 B=2 and so on).
tracey doesnt hang around, she sounds hot lol
Sam needs to stop looking for 815 and go get her.
or DKOJEG
Depending on how you arrange the #'s to convert to alpha:
411151057 = DAAAEJ ? EG
4_1_11_5_10_5_7 = DAKEJEG
4_11_1_5_10_5_7 = DKAEJEG
4_11_15_10_5_7 = DKOJEG
4_1_1_15_10_5_7 = DAAOJEG
Shifting? Anagrams?
do these number corespond to letters or numbers in the ocean forecasts website?
Does the OceanForecast have anything to do with the real life Tsunami that occured on Dec.26,2004 on/near the Sundra Trench???
Anyone care to guess where the photo is from on the oceanforecast.com page or why the words "rough or very rough" are in bold.
It's L337 for "ALL IS LOST".
using dkaejeg I get
confusingly, Jag Eked, and interestingly, Jade Keg.
And, yeah Hurley Girl, the most fun is of course All is LOST ;)
If you try to open the website in a browser you're sent to an ad page.
Looks like maybe there's a typo in the address line, or this website isn't done yet.
yup not one of you, http://www.oceanforecasts.com/ is a go daddy parked page as of now (for me). Thanks for shaving me from double posting :)
I noticed when I took all the numbers from the oceanforecasts webpage I got this
24 6 8 9 4 5
z f h i d e or ZF Hide
I don't know if it is just a coincidence, or if ZF is someone's initials, I tried looking up but its hard to look up initials.
For DAAAEJEG - A Jade Age
For DAAOJEG - Jade Ago, A Jade Go, A Jag Doe, A Jag Ode
n1te, ZF=Zeke Freundlich? We got that email signed by Zeke Klotho Freundlich after emailing zkillen_t99@hotmail.com.
I'm with Hurley Girl... leetspeak for ALL IS LOST
411 15 1057
n1te, 24=x not z (26)

"Rough or very rough. Occasionally high"
Why does this remind me of someone I know?

i think the info on boxing day tsunami was removed because its bad taste to referance something so horrific in an internet game....

Nice, lol.
To me, the forecast is saying, "We dunno what the hell the weather is going to be like."

Actually it looks like 5 lines and 5 little bubble dots. Sorry I can't screen capture, I'll work on that.
Anyone have any idea what city/harbor is depicted in the site's header?
I found a proper forecast on bbc and it looks a lot like the one they put in the game.
See:

If they work, you'll see that the numbers on the Sunda Trench page are part of the image, while the lines on (among others) the forecasts page aren't.
