Earhart Search ??

Amelia Earhart set off from lae (Papua New Guinea) for Howland Island in the Find815 radio report heard by Sam Thomas.

So why does the Sunda Trench website refer to the search off the Sumatra/Sundra Trench ??

Anyone else notice the line in the Sundra Trench article, the line from 1973, French sailor disappears during round the world yacht expedition. Sound familiar??

Amelia Earhart may have flown without radio transmissions for ~2.5 hours putting her final position in the Phoenix Islands (near Fiji).

Two hours w/o radio contact, final position near Fiji...doesn't that sound familiar. ;)
