Hints in Source Code

I found some hints embedded in the source codes of flyoceanicair.com (after Sam's hack) and the-maxwell-group.com. They may be anagrams or they can somehow be connected to the username and password on the Maxwell Group web site. Here are the screenshots:

Note: The second hint in the source of Maxwell Group's web page can be 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 or 07 (it changes when the page is refreshed)

Update: I am very sorry for the problem about the pictures. Here are the new pictures and thanks to everyone who solved these anagrams:
smash moat --- Sam Thomas
a warn witness --- I want answers

One anagram for "a warn witness" is "I want answers" which would be fitting of Sam to say.

We're working on getting the images working.

Thanks for spotting ;)

Nice shamballa. I saw the answers word in there but couldn't get anything good. I'm looking through a list from smash moat now, but I haven't seen anything good.

That has to be it. It makes sense seeing as how he hacked the site. "I want answers... Sam Thomas".

Nice paolovf.

Ta, I had looked for anagrams of Sam Thomas yesterday and have been waiting for it to come up somewhere.

That was the most comments at the same time lol. I suck at anagrams so I just used a solver online, and they don't do names.

very sorry about the pictures.. now you can see them =) work already done... but anyway... we still dont know what the codes on the page of the Maxwell Group are..

Nice job Steff.

I'm still wondering if "pageok" and numbers are significant.

Steff said...

i think they have something to do with the user:pass, but let's wait for 3 more hours (and 7 min) :)

Steff said...

nothing concerning the user:pass in the second part of chapter 2 :(((
However, i figured that the 7.0 and 01 till 07 may tell that the user and/or the pass have 7 letters; MATTHEW and ABADDON have 7 letters, but it is not the combination that is asked...

also we should take information from the audio on the mail... it says look AND listen!!!
when you listen to it backwards:
"You are into somenthing... Sunda Trench"
or "... something changed"

also further down in the source code on the flycoeanic webpage there is a comment that says "google analytics snippet"

Steff said...

thats not a hint for the game..

well, my theory for the random numbers is quite dissapointing.
I was working in a web site and we had several servers to balance the load. We included a "secret code" as an HTML comment in the pages, with this code we could easily know which server is "serving" the page that we were browsing.
So, my theory is that they have 7 servers and each time we regresh, we are obviously redirected to a different one.
Hope it was clear, sorry for my english.
