Last night's plotter "dot board" slightly altered

This is really nothing big but I thought I would point out that the format of the chart plotter has slightly changed so that the dots are not all on a single row. Perhaps having all the dots on one row confused some people.

While seemingly insignificant I'm convinced it's all an elaborate sign that Sam & company are headed to the Solomon Islands. (look at the flag OMG! =0)

Here is the new dot formation:

haha nice find and it would make sense because The Solomon Islands are east of New Guinea :P

Good find congested. It made the game very confusing having them all on one row as people thought that it corresponded to the cells to the right of them. I have now managed to complete the puzzle about 6 times after my lucky success last night!

I am sooo confused. Do the locations of the dots corrolate to the codes at ALL?

No save_the_hobbit. Lol. That's why they've moved them around I suppose. :)

I still haven't completed the plotter puzzle ONCE.

I have officially given up on it, after just having spent two hours attempting to complete it.

Try using the method I posted in the original chart plotter game post. If you still need help email me.

I've used a multitude of methods...still can't complete it. I even got 4 reds and a white on one go last night. How that is possible, I don't know. That's as close as I've gotten.

hey 4 reds and one white is Impossible.
because it would mean you have 4 dots on the right place and and dot on the wrong place, but this one dot can't go anywhere else...

could mean that you have to use one of the ones you already have again....

btw, an easy strategy is to choose two letters at random, then do three of one and two of another and go from there. if you're lucky your first guess won't hit anything so you'll be able to eliminate two letters right off the bat. then use those letters to test the correct placement of other letters (like, say you know that X isn't in the puzzle at all and you know that O belongs in one of the first two spots....type in OXXXX, and if it comes up one white you know the O goes in the second spot).

keep in mind that the red and white pegs do NOT correspond in any way to which placements are correct--that's part of what makes this game so challenging.

btw, the board game version is Mastermind and academics (mainly mathematicians/game theorists) write entire papers on strategy for this game.
