That's different than the one I saw here a week or two ago. The one I saw was the same as the video they have on the Oceanic website, but without the "find815" parts spliced in.

Gotta love the trademark Lost 'Smash to Black' sound at the end there :)

what's with the blip-clip there in the middle.

Why toy with my emotions this way...

don't they know I have work to do...

I'm amazed. Just the billboards were surprising for me. And that Lost sound at the end...:)
one question : the guy is interrupted while saying "Escape with Ocea...". Is this the way it was aired or the video is broken?

Looks nicer than the 'straight off the website' one they've been running on Adult Swim at 3:00 A.M.

Nice ad.

I think this week or the next one they will update flyoceanicair.com.

I have been trying to play it frame by frame to get shots of the Destination Board before the letters change. I think this game is beginning to make me paranoid.

"Lose yourself" hehehe priceless!

I think the smoke monster is at the right (in the clouds above the woman lounging) in 0:15. May be some time of screen error (lol).

Ah nothing like some stock footage and a decent voice over. This ad is much better than the first. :)

Vid made me think about it again, has anyone had any luck with the voicemail box/password from the Oceanic press release, or did everyone forget about it like I did?

Great point about that Oceanic voicemail password.

"Places you never imagined" must be an anagram of some sort. Keeps popping up. Here it is again on the flip-board in this TV ad. Seems very conspicuous, and looks different than anything else in the spot.

And has anyone figured out the puzzle between those Oceanic billboards? I wonder if they're trying to tell us that we need to go back and find the clues there? The phrase "your ultimate destination" seemed to be pretty significant, somehow, as does "lose yourself".

I wonder if, also, some of the phrases that flash above the video on the Oceanic site might be important as well:

"In your wildest dreams"
"Fly Oceanic"
"Fly Oceanic today"
"Places you've only imagined"
"Oceanic is flying again"

Anyone got any new thoughts on this?

As a side note on the password for the voicemailbox thing, right above the number to call are three "pound" signs. Possibly the voicemailbox number or password or both have three numbers, I've tried a few three number combos, no luck yet.

Now I might be looking into it a little TOO much. But at 0:16 with the lady on the hammock...what is that in the sky on the top left?

Saw it too, seems like a parachute to me...

Looks like a parachute to me too - possibly a nod to Naomi?

that flight attendant looks a lot like michaela conlin who plays angela in the tv show bones.

No matter if this video has clues or not, i gotta give it up to those marketing guys for promoting a show so cleverly without even mentioning it a single time (except the Adds on ABC of course but that doesnt really count as a campaign i guess). I love that TM-Lost Sound at the end, for LOST-Fans its just like "Whoa cool, that was nice" and the usual TV consumer will probably consider that rather strange to add such a weird sound and might get especially interested, cause as much as the Commercial looks legit, this little thing added so much suspense into it in under 1 second that its gonna get stuck in your brain.

do we know what that fight attendant is saying yet? My vote is Q or some letter. I'll bet we get different letters in more ads to come maybe leading to a password. In the chat room, Hume, Key, and some letters were being thrown around.

I knew they'd start having Oceanic Ads sometimes soon. I was about ready to start betting my dad. Do we know what the Flight Attendant is saying?

the destination board says

PLACES
YOU NEVER
IMAGINED

Lost 'smash to black' sound
AWESOME!!!

I'm suprised no one has mentioned that the voice over says "you'll find yourself wanting to go back." A nod to Jack and his spiel in TTLG or just a coincidence?
And even after seeing this ad, I still won't fly oceanic. ;)

omg i love this!!!!!!

what about the clip of the board, i cant get the pic at the first glimps its so difficult, and what in the world is the lady saying when she interups. it sounds something like " you " or maybe im wrong. and how abouth that parachute, good catch.

its driving me nuts

fyi....when the plane is in the sky and the picture comes up of the globe, destination lines come off the plane and land on certain places on the globe. The first line lands right next to jakarta and christmas island.

isid said...

I believe the letter is: Q

Unknown said...

looks like the lost island in the lower left picture at one point.

Just seems like, since these billboards don't mention "Lost" at all, they must be specific clues to the Find 815 game. Otherwise, what's their purpose? I don't think it's just to get people tuned into the game itself.

thenickodemus: The ### symbol just means "end of press release" so it's not likely to be the password.

Then again, I wouldn't put it past them to hide clues in the every day logical stuff.
