As is now blatantly obvious, the [purple] picture, found on flickr, that I posted before, is none other than Sam himself. Yes, his hair is much longer to the left, but the facial similarity is too large for it to be anybody else. So...how and why did Tom Killen have a picture of Sam on his flickr? Are they one and the same?

In the first picture does anyone think we should be looking at his right eye. He seems to be hinting that, as he is magnifying his other eye.

I have put the colour back to its original colours and there is one huge problem with it being sam, the man in the other picture clearly has Blue Eyes, Sam has brown Eyes
The pic is too small for me to check out the eyes.
If they are the same person, he looks so much better with short hair. Could his hair be that straight while shorter?
The lips and the chin look similar. I don't know...
This is strange, but the hair on the neck looks similar on both guys...the facial shape looks really similar, too...

the picture has been updated to my one you can see it aint the same ecspecially cos of the blue eyes

My opinion now is that it isn't the same guy...
Plus, isn't Tom Killen the one that sent Sam the picture of Sonya? We'd have some serious twin issues going on if they look identical...

I don't think they look much alike at all. The Flickr guy is easily ten-fifteen years younger and much heavier.
It would be interesting if we could figure out what is in the looking glass reflection on his eye and what's reflected in his other eye though.

It could just be an older picture of Sam they're using. He does look heavier in the flicker pic. An older pic could explain some small differences.
I do not think that the first picture is Sam...although it is similar, it is just not close enough. Brothers maybe?

I keep looking at the two pictures and the lips are exactly the same...the eyebrows do look different, like someone else said...
This reminds me of the whole situation with the Jack look-a-like in the Arctic Station...
Oh, yeah...that's the same guy...the guy playing Sam Thomas is definitely that Rodger guy...if you look at the pictues at imdb.com, the one with him in the leather jacket and long hair, the face is clearly, clearly, clearly (was that clearly?) the same guy...

if you follow the first link in hevernan post, you can check out several games Thomas Killen worked on. One is Shardup hunt.Under "Physical Specifications" there is a link to ARToolKit - which shows some goggles that are eerily reminiscent of others we have seen - Room 23 anyone?
So, if Tom and Sam are not the same person, then Tom knows something about the flight and is trying to pass on info to Sam. How would a gamer have inside info on the boat and the Black Rock?

They don't look the same at all... the eyes are different (ok, one could use lenses)... the was the hair grows is totally different, same goes with the beard.... No, it's not him. And we have the actor above anyway.
