Maxwell Group Site

Update: 06:00 GMT Here is the audio for those having trouble.

I just noticed very briefly that the MG site had been updated. It seems that they have now put it back to what it was but I manage to grab the link.

Thanks to SpOOky for the screencap for those having problems.

I checked The Maxwell Group site and found no media release and the link to the audio is not working...
what is the problem??

hopefully they are doing some shuffling or updating because all of their sites are wonky right now.

talbot basically says that salvage of the plane will be impossible due to its depth in the trench. So much for finding any bodies. This sounds like a cover up to me.

other than that, he pretty much says everything we already know... one spooky thing. Things he says in the interview match up with that audio that interfered with Sam's last video diary. He says that "ROV" "half an hour" line.

Here's the direct link to the interview file:

Anyone called the Oceanic Hotline (clue hunt #1) to see if it has changed?

i tried calling it the other day..

when i tried to log in to maxwell group, the invalid log-in screen still pops up but instead of saying Feb. 1...at the bottom, it says "server updated and secured." so that is different.

i went to the TMG site and it's back up like that now. Except mine isn't yellow. it's just plain black font. and it won't load the radio interview for me.

the interviewer is terrible. I could've read from a script better.
Yeah, it seems if someone has the right password for TMG, we will be able to get in.

Debs said...

thanks for putting up the audio, it's not worth waiting for LOL!

Mine's not highlighted either and was taking forever to load, in fact the first few trys at the password there was no media release at all

I have a question. i think i may have found something, but i dont have the total clue, i was wondering if its ok to discuss it here, or should i somewhere else? thanks, just dont want to break rules.

Anonymous said...

I think you should discuss it benry. What did you find?

Anonymous said...

i think the interviewer sounds kind of like the podcast guy. not dalton, but the voiceover.

and oscar sounds like even more of a jerk.

for those of us that can get into the website for UCLAradio, theres an announcement of the discovery, then a picture of a diver and an ROV. in the divers hands is some white thing, bar of some sort, and on it, Upsidedown is the letters TXF4. my guess is half of the login to the maxwell site, mostlikely the pass. anyone see it or have any guess on the login name
?

The site still has that media release text, you just have to go to http://www.find815.com/TMG/

Update. may be nothing may be something. lead me to (no kidding) the canadien space agency. this is getting wierd. again may be nothing.

Maybe the username/pass is in the poem we got from the steg pic. I mean it has to lead somewhere. They wouldn't have given it to us for no reason.

Anonymous said...

benry, I'm sure the photo is just something they inlined off space.gc.ca because it's a picture of an ROV and they needed one to illustrate the story.

Benry said...

YEah, more i look at it, more i think so. doesnt make sense though, we should have everything we need. what are we missing.

blandestk said...

the all is lost email will probably be one of the inputs, in my opinion

It was a good observation Benry, but the company that made the rov is here http://www.outlandtech.com/ . It was probably just a stock pic the game developers used for effect. Notice in the image the structural aluminum harness the diver is strapped to, there are similar markings one every piece of that structure, making field assembly easier. Now, the writing you pointed out is clearer and brighter, but it is on a white surface in the center focus of the screen.

I could see the tmg website login being something with few characters, why tax systems developed to keep hackers out using secure protocols when you're running a game that you want people to get in to. Who knows though.

Benry said...

erik, only an observation. i just think the answer is going to be something like that. if its an ARG, the answer will be part of the ARG, it has to be conneted to the game some how, and not in th show. And i think we cant get in till 3:15.....Unless......thats not it at all. hmmmmm :)

i got the uclaradio site to load and you can leave a message, but it times out for me on every attempt. has anyone been able to leave a message?

So now we know where the audio during Sam's last video diary came from...

Миљан Давид Танић said...

The interviewer is not Kris from the podcast...
And now... what happens now? Did they plant the MG site just... like that, with nothing further for us?

Anonymous said...

That's what i'd say. I think the MG Site was just for show from the very beginning.

Ok, on the UCLA live radio site when you mouse over the top left image of the three icons, any one else seeing that it strangely looks like it could be numbers or something?

That interviewer guy was a TERRIBLE voice actor. The guy who plays Talbot, however, was really very good!

the4gottenabyss

Very strange indeed. I think the first character is either an M or an H, the middle is obviously a 4, but I'm not sure what the hell the 3rd character is supposed to be.

oodles said...

On mouse over it looks just like runny paint. However, the third icon looks like it has a white rabbit at the center!?!

more continuity mess ups, this audio was posted on january 31st 2008. so Oscar Talbot did an interview about a discovery that happened nearly four years previous? yeah right.

About that space agency thing: how often does Lost publish things that doesn't matter at all? I think they used picture from that site because it means something. Tha exact page of the site is http://www.space.gc.ca/asc/fr/missions/neemo9/images.asp It's gallery of Neemo 9 project dated 3-20 April 2006. The decription of the photo is "Voici le ROV, affectueusement nommé «Scuttle» d'après le personnage du film
«The Little Mermaid»". Maybe someon can translate it.

Unknown said...

I'm pretty sure that that the ROV is completely irrelevant... If you really need a translation, its "Here is the ROV, affectionately named "Scuttle" after the character in the film "The Little Mermaid". Unless Scuttle is l/p or something, I'm guessing its useless...

No one has thought about listening to UCLAradio.com yet???
